Further consideration
The design of this habitat only satisfied the radiation requirement and structure criteria on the Moon. However, there are some other factors need to be considered:
Sealing, Soft material such as rubber is needed in order to seal the whole pipe system. However, we still know need more information about the property of the material on the moon in order to integrate. (Thermal expansion coefficient)
Protection against temperature extremes, thermal shock and gradual dust accumulation.
Conclusion
In this new solution, the containers are no longer needed, which also eliminate big part of the environmental impact.
The new design is able to provide an application to repurpose human waste and help create a closed-loop system. The solution doesn't depend on cargo vehicle to transport the human waste back to the Earth, and no need for resupply for the container.
The design provide an effective solution for radiation protection then the conventional proposal of using lunar regolith.
